Although, now that I posted that other one I think I do have a few more things to say:

I love, love LOVE being at home with my son. He is such a joy to me, and it is so much fun to watch him learn and explore.

At the time being, I don't really mind not doing very much art-wise... I think it has to do with the fact that my creativity is being used in different ways. I am making my own baby food, so that is a process... I am using cloth diapers about 90% of the time, which does take up a bit more time. I am actively trying to get my garden to grow (although some type of ninja bunny is eating up my tender little bell peppers. Die ninja bunny, die! not really, but I really do wish all my plants would survive and give me a great crop of peppers.) I am taking TONS of photos, even though I told myself I wouldn't go over board on the first kid, I probably am. And I am reading quite a bit, which is such an amazing creative process in my head... I would rather read than see a movie any day.

My kid is funny, which I think is great. He is a great combination of Jeff and me. Chase is happy like Jeff, and can make the strangest noises like me :) ... he also is a great combination of Asian and American Mutt. I recently learned that there is a term for anyone who is part Asian, which is Happa. I guess at one time Happa used to be a derogitory term, but now it is used with pride of their heritage. I hope my little man loves being Happa. I love my Happa.

So, needless to say, I stink at blogging. :)

An Attempt at Blogging

So, lots of other moms out there are blogging, so I thought I might try my hand at this. I used to send out an almost monthly email update while I was in Japan, and that was neat to be able to track things I was doing and places I went. The unfortunate annalogy of blogging is that it is an online journal, and for everyone's information, I am absolutely horrible at keeping my journal up to date. So don't expect a lot from me.

Chase is six weeks old on Friday :) He is getting so big compared to when he was born, but when I see people holding him he still looks like a tiny peanut! He has started smiling recently, which actually has been going on since about week three, but which has not been consistant until this week. I have videos of him smiling, which is great :)

I have been asked how I like my role now as a mom, and honestly, I don't feel like anything has changed in me. Yes, I now have a small human relying on me for most everything, and yes, I have not been sleeping like I would choose (and sleep was just about one of my favorite things to do pre-pregnancy)... but truly, I feel like life as I know it is just how it should be.

Life is so much busier, even though it doesn't seem like I get much done. But I just love being home with our little boy, and seeing him learn and grow every day.

I think I need to take a nap today, I haven't taken one in over a week, and the lack of sleep is getting to me ... Here is a video :)

Blogging - Take #4

So, I have been trying to get this blogging thing together for a while here... basically ever since I moved to Pittsburgh back in 2005. You can see how well that has worked...

So, like the Title says, blogging Take #4 is my fourth (or so) attempt at joining this web-culture, and sticking with it.
